Why I Hate Today's MusicWhy I Hate Today's "Music"
by Alec Damiano, ©2011
Why is so much talentless dreg pumped through the airwaves and shoved down our throats? Once upon a time, being a successful musician consisted of actually being able to play a musical instrument. Singers could actually sing and did not rely on computers in order to sound decent. Less young people are listening to mainstream radio today and more are tuning into indie, classic rock, and old-school rap music. Instead of relying on the Billboard Top 100 for musical guidance, teenagers are using YouTube to discover artists that they feel are actually worth their time. The music industry has hit an all-time low, and not only due to Internet piracy. When asked about his views on illegally downloading music, Bob Dylan stated, "Well, why not? It ain't worth nothing anyway." If music defines generations, then what is left for us?
Today, musical "artists" are constantly being force-fed to us by the media. When one turns on
The Night Before KISSmas
The Night Before KISSmas/KISS Saves Santa
by Alec Damiano © 12/24/2010
'Twas the night before KISSmas, and all through the day
Ace Frehley was blasting his rockets away
And then came the news that Santa was kidnapped
Peter Criss awoke so enraged from his Cat-nap
Mrs. Claus knew that her husband had gone
Walking in the forest after drinking egg-nog
Upon the KISS-copter hopped the Starchild and Demon
To save Santa before the pterodactyls would eat him
Catman and Spaceman were tagging along
Ace with his Gibson singing a song
The Demon said "This is no time to play"
Because he knew KISS had to save Christmas day
Above the North Pole the KISS-copter flew
Where Santa was, nobody had a clue
Until Paul Stanley used his laser-eye beam
"It looks like he's falling off that cliff, it seems!"
The KISS-copter landed on a mountain of snow
The band members yelled " Santa! Where did you go?"
"I'm down here, boys!" St. Nick tried to yell
"Gene, do you see him? It looks like he fell!"
